Week 4 begins

Three brief reflections on my recent entry into motherhood:

- Babywearing makes everything easier.

- Going to bed whenever the last feeding after 8 pm happens makes everything better.

- People who bring you food have a special reward in the afterlife.

A look back on mostly weeks 1 and 2:

Last pregnancy progress photos taken. It's still hard to believe he was curled up in there.

Outake from shooting for the birth announcement.

Somehow it feels like he's already so much bigger than this.

Daddy and baby

Sweet quiet moments

I miss D now that he's gone back to researching, but graduation can't happen with him being here with me all the time.

Sometimes I do make Daniel take pictures of me so I'll be included in photo albums.

I expected more hair actually. He's got quite the mullet going on.

He's a long baby but I'm slowly chunking him up.

Overall, it’s a lot of adjustment, but we’re doing just fine.

He’s so gorgeous! Growing so fast. No longer looks like that same little boy. Would love to hold me (and squeeze him :) ).

He would love it too. The blanket you sent just has to be your arms here.

OMG!!! Love the last pic of him looking up at D. How often do you take pics of him? If & when my time comes, I’m going to do what a friend of mine did. She took a pic every day for the first year, just so she can see the changes and plus she lived far away from the grandparents so she was able to share the pics with them also.

@Khyla. I am taking photos pretty often but probably not every day. I’m terrible at everyday photo projects. I have a failed 365 photo project from like 2008 and I tried to do pregnancy progress photos on a schedule and that failed as well. I keep my camera around and shoot a lot though. Already have 100s of shots of the little man.

I swear I might cry… He’s beautiful!!! I’m so happy for you all. It’s such an amazing time. Enjoy every moment that is precious!!
